Quicksilver was born into Grove Holt as the result of a Recognition between Swiftdeer and Brightstorm, a pairing that did not spawn a lifemating. She was raised by the tribe after her mother was killed by a human in a hunting accident. Strangely, she harbors no hatred of humans. She was an infant when she lost her mother. Still, due to tribe teachings, she is duly wary of the five-fingers.
She has bonded to the white-pelted wolf Snowflake, her first wolf-friend. The two spend their time playing in the forest, because while Quicksilver is of adult age, she has yet to find her soul-name. The lack of self-knowledge hinders the young elf, making her clumsy at most tasks at the Holt or on the hunt.
