She-Ra: Princess of Power

Welcome to Etheria!
The Original Unofficial She-Ra: Princess of Power Home Page

Note: This page is not intended to violate any copyrights or trademarks. It's completely unofficial, unendorsed, and probably unvisited. :) Mebbe not... other lost souls have whomped this page since I moved it to Finland (and back!)...

I remember the 80s. It was littered with a great many dumb tv shows, and a great many that were great, and a great many that are only remembered fondly. She-Ra is one that you get odd looks from friends when you mention to them that you liked (or, horror of horrors, STILL like!) it.

She-Ra is a companion show to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It was written for every brother's younger sister in mind. Who ever said that a female hero couldn't go out and kick butt without needing a big brother around all the time? No one, hurrah! Both series ran from 1983 to 1986, made by Filmation, a company that delights in being lazy in animation (just go check out their old Tarzan or Star Trek cartoons). Still, for girls growing up in the 80s, She-Ra was cool.

Did you know that J. Michael Straczynski (the bloke who created Babylon 5), once was one of the main creators and writers of this series? Well, I knew he'd done some work on The Real Ghostbusters, but not She-Ra!

I found out when I got this mail:

As one who helped create She-Ra, and the characters, and the world, and who wrote most of the episodes...it's good that the show is remembered. It was fun. Thanks for noticing it all.

J. Michael Straczynski

Others have also noticed this page. In fact, I received mail from another person who has major connections to the show...

Hello!

I just got a hold of your file and found it fun - it turns out my mom is THE voice of She Ra!

Whatever made you get so into the series is to be discovered, but it was fun just to see how much you got out of it. (I got a college education).

Thanks for giving us a fun web site evening!

Kind regards,

Mimi Britt (daughter of SheRa Britt)
