Turnberry's green eyes open wide and a huge open smile races across his face. ["Wonderful!"] he exclaims, clapping his hands together and rubbing them with excitement. ["I do hope you like her as much as I do,"] he goes on as he fishes his pager back out off of his belt and unfolds it on the table again, this time such that the screen faces Turnberry. ["She's a Pooka, bear in mind,"] Turnberry notes, ["and a more conventional one than myself-- you know, say the opposite of what she means and all that --but you're a veteran of Fae society, so I'm sure you've familiar with the routine. Her way of expressing it is by sarcasm and judicious use of "un's" in unusual places --I'm sure it'll make sense when she arrives..."] Leaning his chin on his left hand, he begins typing into the pager with his right; punches in some kind of longish character string, then waits as the pager purrs quietly. His right hand taps out an impatient staccatto on the bar as the pager tries to make a connection. The purring is punctuated by a sharp -ding!-, and Turnberry's eyebrows come up. Rapid-fire typing with his right hand ensuses, a smile working it's way across Turnberry's face. With his left hand, he types on his voicebox to explain, ["I've called her up; my pager will voice out over communication devices directly, saving me the trouble of, say, holding the reciever over my voicebox."] ["Oh dear,"] Turnberry notes, ["I think I've interrupted her during X-Files. That's a no-no,"] Turnberry smiles, ["but I'm sure she'll forgive me. Now then...."] Turnberry picks up the pager and holds the screen towards the open space of the pub behind them. ["There's a camera,"] Turnberry explains, ["which will give her enough of the Pub to see where it is that she's trying to get to to Flicker-flash here...."] A minute passes, two. < * FLASH * > "Wheeee!!!!" exclaims the newly-arrived guest, as she spins around on one foot, on top a bar stool. Turnberry stands up, smiling big, tail wagging up a storm. The new arrival stops, sees Turnberry, her face lights up as she hops down and clasps Turnberry in a fierce hug. "Well, isn't it a pity to see you alive and well!" she exclaims happily. Turnberry guides her over to Mahri and the other patrons at the bar. ["Everyone, this is my close friend, Lady Christina DeeDee Mee-ow ap Fiona. Christina...."] and Turnberry begins introducing her to everyone who is interested. > >-Turnberry > > Mahri -Turnberry (and Christina!) ---- Physical Description: (IC Wolves Glen Pub Introduction) Christina is a tigeress Pooka a little under six feet tall; long black hair falling past her shoulders, a tiger's pointed ears, tiger-striped fur over every surface except her hands and her face, a tiger's nose and whiskers and a tiger's long, striped tail, which is almost always up in the air and can even crudely manipulate objects (like pick up briefcases or wrap around soda cans and lift them to her front). Her big green eyes are always twinkling with mischief; her mouth almost always in a big open smile (showing a set of big, pointy teeth). She moves with cat-like grace and big expansive movements; her manner is warm, engaging and friendly; you definately get the impression that she is extremely excited to meet you and would very much like to be friends. She is dressed in a long white trench coat, open in front, that goes down almost to her ankles, a loose purple turtleneck sweater, loose black jeans and sturdy, well-worn boots that come almost up to her knees. Under her coat, a sidearm rests in a left shoulder-holster and what looks like a rifle or shotgun of some kind is slung on her right; there looks like a myriad of pockets on the inside of the coat as well, and a slide-rule in a long belt-case. Over the coat, she has a big-black shoulder-bag slung over one shoulder, with, strapped to it, of all things, a three-foot long brown teddy bear with a red neck bow. A fashionable white beret, a ring on her right hand and a brace of pendants on a silver necklace round her out. Despite the loose clothing and a very conscious, deliberate effort on her part to de-emphasizse her looks, she is stunningly, incredibly, drop-dead beautiful. If you asked a average hundred men to describe what the woman of their fantasies would look like, you'd get Christina. If Helen of Troy were a tigeress Pooka, you'd get Christina. She's not, twiggy or skeletal, like many of today's fashion models; she's healthy, athletic, fit -- looks just like the ordinary girl next door, if the ordinary girl next door had a Appearance rating of 5 with the trait Surreal Beauty. Her physical appearance inspires raging desire in most men and insane jealousy in image-conscious women; if your character is at all prone to cruise for attractive women in bars, she will absolutely bring out the lecher in you... ;-) (Christina's character sheet at http://www.spundreams.net/~jeff/deedee.html ) -- Jeff Huo | jeff@spundreams.net.nospam (remove nospam) U.
