Changes made: Flipped floor plans to show proper perspective.

A picture of the elevation
we chose.

This is a somewhat enlarged version of the drawing they used for the Pueblo elevation on the Copland floor plan. The development is named Symphony, the floor plans were named after composers, and the street names are named after musical instructions. For a smaller but cleaner picture, please see here.

The house exterior will be an ivory-white called "candlelight". Susan, the Centex person, describes it as the color of real vanilla ice cream. It has yellow undertones and is white without being stark. There are one or two other candlelights in Symphony and a few of a pinker white called "soapstone". The majority of the houses are shades of brown.

The floor plans for
downstairs.

This is the downstairs floor plan. It looks sort of like three narrow strips, but it's really very open; the only part really walled off is the Master Suite, and even though the living room is offset, it's also open. The dining room will probably be our computer area and the living room will be a library/quiet-time room. The great room will serve as a living/play room and the nook is where our table will be unless we need to put all of the leaves in.

The tiling is a pale gray with some blue and some red hints. The carpet is gray with a blue tinge, much like a blue merle Aussie. The kitchen countertops are dark blue with speckles, and the appliances are black. The cabinets, a honey-maple color, along with the tiles and the off-white interior paint, will hopefully offset the darkness. If not, Albuquerque sunlight is not to be underestimated. The door knobs/hinges/etc are brushed chrome, so a sort of matte silver.

The floor plans for
upstairs.

The floor plan for upstairs. The game room is where we'll put our elliptical trainer (once we have it) and various things to keep ourselves entertained while exercising. Bedroom #3 will actually be a hobby room with Andy's origami equipment and my jewelry stuff. We decided to use that bedroom since it has a walk-in closet wherein we can store all the things we don't want our furry little darlings to have access to. Bedrooms #2 and #4 will have some combination of a twin bed and our queen bed, at least once we get a king-sized bed for ourselves. Until then we'll probably keep our self-inflating Aero bed in the room destined for the queen-sized bed, since the Aero is also queen-sized.

As with downstairs, the carpet is gray, as are the tiles. The walls are off-white. There are a ton of windows to let light in.

We're adding pictures of the house-in-progress in our gallery. We'll add updates if we decide to switch things around or as we get newer information as to when the house will be done. Note we will have a lot of room for guests!
